Board-Certified Veterinary Oncologist

Dr. Erin Roof is a board-certified veterinary oncologist and founder of the Oncology Department at Clarity Veterinary Specialists, dedicated to helping pets with cancer receive compassionate, advanced care. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer in dogs, cats, horses and other furry animals, offering cutting-edge therapies including chemotherapy, targeted treatments, and comprehensive cancer management to improve both quality of life and survival outcomes for pets with cancer.

Dr. Roof has spent more than a decade guiding pet owners through the complex and emotional journey of a cancer diagnosis. Her approach to veterinary oncology emphasizes clear communication, individualized treatment plans, and collaboration with referring veterinarians to ensure every patient receives the best possible care.

Her passion for oncology began during her advanced clinical training, where she discovered a deep interest in understanding the biology of cancer and developing effective treatment strategies. Today, she works closely with pet families to diagnose and manage a wide range of cancers including lymphoma, mast cell tumors, osteosarcoma, and soft tissue sarcomas, helping pets live longer and more comfortable lives.

Dr. Roof believes oncology is not only about treating disease but also about supporting the bond between pets and their families. Her experience in veterinary oncology—and even facing cancer personally—has strengthened her empathy and connection with clients navigating difficult medical decisions for their beloved pets.

At Clarity Veterinary Specialists, Dr. Roof’s goal is to provide leading-edge veterinary cancer care in Florida while partnering with primary care veterinarians to deliver seamless, collaborative treatment for pets diagnosed with cancer.
